While visiting my parents in Long Island, I was in the mood to grab a burger for lunch. My dad mentioned that he had passed a burger shack in Oyster Bay recently, so we decided to check it out. As we drove down Pine Hollow Road, we spotted the Joe’s Burger Shack sign and pulled up to a house that was converted into a 1950’s style diner.
One of the very first things I noticed from the outdoor furniture to the inside decor was that this place proudly displayed the colors red, white & blue. The patriotism that adorned this place instantly put a smile on my face. Frank greeted us with a warm welcome and allowed us to look over the menu without pressing us to order quickly. My dad ordered the bison burger which came highly recommended, and my plain, boring, food issue self got a burger with mushrooms.
If you’re looking for a really good, juicy burger then you HAVE to check out this place! (And definitely check out the bison burger!) They also have milk shakes that looks amazing – I would have gotten one in a heartbeat if I wasn’t allergic to dairy. (It’s a major curse I tell you!). OH! And not to mention the fried oreos!
The staff was super friendly and made you feel at home, and the atmosphere in itself made this a comfortable place to eat along with great comfort food. Plus you’ll be supporting a local, patriotic establishment, and what’s better than that!?

Hi Jocelyn,
So sorry to get back to you only just now, but I just noticed the really nice review you gave us. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I’m a little old school, so I don’t always go on these to check them. I literally just found it now. I would like to invite you to stop by and have a burger on me. Thank you so much, hope all is well with you, love your patriotic spirit-wish we were all that way. Hope to see you soon.
Regards,
Frank

Thank you so much Frank, I greatly appreciate it! Your restaurant and as well as upstanding people such as yourself is exactly what we need more of. I have moved to Texas, but I am sure that my parents will frequent your restaurant – and I certainly will when I come back to visit my family!
I will continue to send as many people your way, as I know they will not be disappointed in the great food, and impeccable service!

Thank you again Jocelyn, Definitely looking forward to seeing you soon. Wish we had more people like you and your family as well; this country wouldn’t be in the mess that it is in. You are a breath of fresh air. Good luck with everything in Texas. Know, that if there is anything I can do for you and your family, you have a friend at Joe’s.
